Scam Targeting Parents During School Enrollment Season in Ho Chi Minh City

Recently, many primary and secondary schools in Ho Chi Minh City have warned parents about new

related to . pretend to be school officials and call parents, asking them to confirm personal information such as identification codes. They send strange links, leading to the loss of bank accounts and e-wallets.

Schools have reminded parents that all official enrollment information will only come through official channels like school websites or messages from teachers. Schools will never ask parents to provide personal information through unknown calls or links.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City is entering the enrollment season for the 2025–2026 school year. Scammers are

parents who want to for their children. Authorities urge parents to stay alert and directly contact homeroom teachers or school leaders for any enrollment procedures.

Earlier, in March 2025, a warning was also issued about scams related to

refunds after the city announced free education for all levels starting from the next school year.
