Police Raid Famimoto Company, Seize Fake Seasoning Products

Police in Phu Tho Province raided Famimoto Vietnam Company’s factory and warehouse. They

over 71,000 liters of cooking oil, 40 tons of monosodium glutamate (MSG), 22 tons of , and 9 tons of — all fake products.

Officers also took 84 tons of

, 1.5 million empty packages, and packing machines. Initial investigations showed that Famimoto sold 144 tons of cooking oil, 118 tons of spiced salt, and 363 tons of fake seasoning powder to the market. Over 1,220 tons of MSG were found to have labeling .

The fake goods were sold to kitchens in industrial zones, which could harm workers' health. Famimoto's director, Nguyen Van Hung, admitted buying

from Quang Thanh Company in Hanoi. They repackaged the goods under famous brand names, claiming origins from Singapore and Japan.

According to

, the products’ quality did not meet the standards. Police continue to investigate further.
