One thing I had to share with others that really stands out was my laptop during a group assignment. It might seem like a small thing, but at the time, it played a huge role in getting us through a tough deadline.

To set the scene, this happened during my second year at university. My group and I were working on a marketing presentation, and on the day of the final rehearsal, two of my teammates realized they had forgotten their laptops at home. Talk about

! We were , so I offered to let everyone my laptop, even though it meant giving up control of my personal space and files for the day.

I shared it with three group members, and we had to

using it for editing slides, checking our script, and managing the visuals. At first, it was a bit chaotic—we were practically the screen like bees around honey—but we found our rhythm. I even downloaded a few tools just to make things run more smoothly.

The main reason I had to share it was because it was literally the only working laptop in the room. Without it, we would’ve been

. Plus, I didn’t want anyone to feel embarrassed or left out—we were a team, and we had to stick together. It was one of those moments where just felt like the right thing to do.

Surprisingly, I didn’t feel annoyed or inconvenienced at all. In fact, I felt kind of proud to be able to support the team when it really mattered. It reminded me that collaboration often means making small sacrifices

. And honestly, we ended up delivering a great presentation, which made it all the more worth it.

So yeah, that was a moment when sharing something as personal as my laptop turned out to be a win for everyone. Thanks for hearing me out!
